I'm not sure the Star Wars or Star Trek worlds are in any position to lecture the other on workplace safety. Although Star Wars at least knows of the five point safety harness.

Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Health and Safety Guy The Wise? I thought not. It's not a story that the Jedi would tell you... He had such a knowledge of basic health and safety infrastructure and efficient building regulations that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying...!
