i use the definition of racism and sexism and homophobia that uses the “prejudice against group + power to make these prejudices have impact”, because it's far more useful, and you can measure the effects.

otherwise you get into pointless definition fights that get nowhere.

@tariqk there are different kinds of power. Influence, coercion, autority, violence, etc. so everyone can be racist and suffer from racism because those kind of powers are accesible to almost everyone

I don't get threatened with rape. I can state, unequivocally, that I am at man, and no one will assume I am mentally ill, or find it necessary to subject me to surgery.

Most interestingly, no one can make people do these things to me, without extraordinary effort.

Some forms of power are more effective, require less effort, are subject to less accountability, and are less accessible than others.

@tariqk I'm sorry but you can't narrow down the concepts when someone provide you a reasonable counter argument racism: prejudice + power. and yes rape is a serious issue but it's a crime like killing, i don't receive rape threats either, i'm sure i'm more likely to be raped than a men, but a man is more likely to be killed
