The Labour party are such bloody hypocrites and it is a very, very tiring thing to have to deal with.
Their consistent attitude is that working with unpleasant right wing parties is OK but only when they do it. I really don't like it when my party ends up in local govt coalitions that involve parties of the right. But I'm not going to be lectured on it by Labour (or indeed the Greens) who both happily do the same but think it's OK for them to do so.
There are cases when grimly it's your least worst option. There are times when there's a party of the left that is incapable of governing in an area, and there are certainly times when it's a case of working with one party you don't like to avoid a coalition of all the parties you don't like.
My county's only centre-left administration in the last 2 decades was reliant on hard-right councillors voting to prop it up. Not fun - but would a hard-right + Conservative council have been better?
These are shitty realities that parties on the left, especially operating in heavily right-leaning areas, deal with regularly. All of them do. As I said we had a Green + LD + Labour + UKIP governing bloc in Norfolk. Right now Labour are working with UKIP in Basildon.
I would like it if we could obliterate UKIP & the Brexit Party, full stop. And the Tories. And I think it's worth being *very* cautious about dealing with them. But hypocritical shit-flinging over it just pisses me off.
