There are cases when grimly it's your least worst option. There are times when there's a party of the left that is incapable of governing in an area, and there are certainly times when it's a case of working with one party you don't like to avoid a coalition of all the parties you don't like.
My county's only centre-left administration in the last 2 decades was reliant on hard-right councillors voting to prop it up. Not fun - but would a hard-right + Conservative council have been better?
These are shitty realities that parties on the left, especially operating in heavily right-leaning areas, deal with regularly. All of them do. As I said we had a Green + LD + Labour + UKIP governing bloc in Norfolk. Right now Labour are working with UKIP in Basildon.
I would like it if we could obliterate UKIP & the Brexit Party, full stop. And the Tories. And I think it's worth being *very* cautious about dealing with them. But hypocritical shit-flinging over it just pisses me off.
