Brussel sprout are generally badly considered. Rightly so when cooked, they are horrible.
But when you're a child hidden in the garden between the sprouts and you can eat them freshly picked from the plant with your own hands, they are the best thing in the world!
Also, a cherry or an apple is never as good as when you had to climb over the wall of the priest's garden to get them and then flee like the wind (and so climb over that wall, again) to escape the priest's maid's wrath, or his goat which happened to be around without you noticing it and is now charging at you because you invaded his kingdom.
