I'm sad to hear that this "killer feature" already arrives on Mastodon.

I routinely unfollow "people" who tweet using Buffer, Hootsuite, IFTTT etc.

@onreact @Jelv Organizations need that for communication. If we want Mastodon to grow up, we need that.
If you don't like automated toots (PS: me too), you can follow only people and not organization.
And the force with free software is that we can do what we want. Why not imagine a filter like "No automated toots"... 😉

@David @Jelv Yeah, I'm muting and unfollowing "people" on Twitter all the time already.

When Mastodon becomes just another bot playground there is no reason to use it instead of Twitter.

@onreact @David an distributed open source alternative moderated on instance level is more then reason enough to support Mastodon and there instances. You can look for an instance that blocks bots if you want to. Thats so great about Mastodon.
