@switchingsocial I'm pleasantly surprised that GOG galaxy exists, but then I noticed that it's part of (what is now) a AAA games publisher.

Considering it was founded by the same people it's _probably_ all right, but it smells a bit (conflicting interests?), not sure what to think!

It's ok to be a major company, as long as you're not forcing people to use your product.

GOG doesn't use DRM, so if they start doing dodgy stuff people can just walk away from them. That's a strong incentive for them to behave honestly.

With Steam, you can't walk away without losing your games, and the more Steam games you buy the greater the price you pay for walking away.
