I know, but the installation is crucial and tricky. You can't just install the file because you have to set your phone to accept unknown sources of apps, which is a scary step in itself.
If it was easier to install F-Droid, it would be on the main page of switching.social.
It's not F-Droid's fault, but there's nothing they can do about it, so there's no clear way of getting it into hands of non-technical users.

F-Droid isn't all that technical, honestly! The only technical thing is getting the initial .apk file on your phone and installing it; afterwards, it functions as any other application store would, and gives you all the FLOSS goodness on your phone!
