@switchingsocial these projects should consider GNU Guix for their package management and creation of images/containers. Debian give far less control over the dependency graph. A transition is possible because you can run Guix on top of Debian

Is not really selfhosting. OMV is a NAS Server. It also offers Internetservices like FTP and SSH, though.

As #guix was already mentioned in the thread, I'd like to add NixOS. It makes selfhosting really easy while still providing full control over the system.
