Reminder: I'm delisting the Switching Social Handbook this Sunday night.
If you want to buy a copy, this is your last chance:
The book is a companion to the site, looking at online privacy in a bit more detail while still aimed at a non-technical audience.
It's a DRM-free ePub file, so you can use it on your favourite compatible app or device, as well as make unlimited backups etc.
If you have any questions, comments or problems, let me know and I will try to help.
Last chance for anyone wanting to buy the Switching Social Handbook:
It will be delisted in about one hour from now, then it's gone.
...and it's gone!
(Note: It may still be visible while Kobo processes the delisting.)
Thank you to everyone who bought the Switching Social Handbook 👍 🎉
If you want to support https://switching.social, the best thing you can do is tell people about the site: share the link, mention the alternatives listed, spread the word.
@switchingsocial What's the best alternative to YouTube right now?
PeerTube is pretty good. It has a peer to peer system so if a video goes viral the extra viewers provide the extra bandwidth it needs.
It also federates with the Fediverse, so you can follow PeerTube accounts from Mastodon etc.
It's not got as much content yet, but that's always a chicken and egg situation on any new platform.
Shame that bug stopped me from buying it... 🙁 It would be nice to know if you put it up somewhere else at some point (maybe in an updated form, since you're unlikely to do so for some time).
mastodon.at is a microblogging site that federates with most instances on the Fediverse.
