Fediverse admins,

Please block "", they are spamming massive numbers of fake followers (I've just had 2000 fake followers for example).

Wait, 11111111111000000, I know him well. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@switchingsocial Lol I got so excited seeing my follower count increased by 500+ overnight ๐Ÿฅณ

What are you talking about? Those are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT binary numbers! Could be ANYONE! :blobcheeky:

@switchingsocial ๐Ÿฌ We wondered why so many blank flank ponies were suddenly interested in our observations of the human world. ๐Ÿฌ

@switchingsocial Ouch. I previously got one of those from (which has since been taken down).

I am blocking the domain.

@switchingsocial welp that's a creative new way to be a dickhead..

@bedap @puffinus_puffinus thanks :)

Let me know if it gets annoying me tagging you in these, because you see them already. Maybe I should learn how to do it so I don't bother you both so much?

@bedap @puffinus_puffinus ok then.

I think I've asked this of you before, but I keep worrying I'm being annoying. I'll try to stop worrying.

You've never even come close to being annoying, in all my interactions with you, ever.

@switchingsocial Me too. Mine happened right after an exchange with the Gab account, FYI.

Hmm... wonder if the ".ga" domain is a none-too-subtle hint ๐Ÿค”

May as well get .tk to add to the collection. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

@switchingsocial We can't keep a list of every bad instance. They can make new instances faster than we can block them.

That's why we're proposing real solutions.

@switchingsocial @cwebber and I did an episode where we talked about two whitepapers we wrote (each of us wrote a whitepaper) and our ideas are converging- specifically OcapPub and Stamps:

If you're a LL listener, check out the latest episode:

If you prefer to read, pls read the two whitepapers listed in the show notes.

@switchingsocial This is a really interesting podcast, lots of good points raised. I guess as a Fediverse we are not at the mercy of shareholders can at least act on these issues.
@switchingsocial This bbc article seems a little related to some of the more unwanted material on the Internet
Is there a growing far-right threat online?โ€ฆ

It is worth keeping an eye on this, while the article mentions the world decentralised once, it does so in relation to chat groups, however if articles such as this start to mention the Fediverse then the reputation of the whole Fediverse may be damaged.
