– normally, Android uses AES-128-CBC-ESSIV for full-disk encryption and AES-256-XTS for file-based encryption
– Adiantum uses ChaCha (12 rounds) as well as Poly1305 and NH
– Adiantum can be enabled for devices with AES performance <= 50 MiB/sec, faster devices continue to use AES
